Yiwei Lu is a Los Angeles- based curator, gallerist, art fair founder, and filmmaker. She earned her master’s degree from the University of Southern California, specializing in visual anthropology with a focus on art collectors’ culture.
A dedicated collector of Asian artists herself, Yiwei founded her first gallery in Los Angeles in 2019, operating out of a house with an artist-in-residence program. This initiative later grew into Yiwei Gallery, which officially opened in Venice Beach in 2021. In 2024, the gallery expanded with a second location in Wuhan and launched its own art fair, C Art Festival.
